A shocking case has surfaced from Roorkee’s Piran Kaliyar area. A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men inside an abandoned government school.

The woman was lured by her acquaintance on the pretext of visiting Piran Kaliyar. After consuming liquor, he called his friends, and together they took turns raping her.

The accused left the survivor unconscious at the spot. She regained consciousness in the early hours and immediately informed the police.

A medical examination confirmed gang rape. Police swiftly arrested the four identified accused and produced them in court, while a search is on for one absconding accomplice.

Station incharge Ravindra Kumar said the arrested accused include Anees Ahmad, Himanshu Saini, Rajat Jagpal, and Neeraj Satpal. The survivor, from Haridwar’s Bhagwanpur area, is currently safe and under medical care.
